X-Frames: Features Discussion

Features:
- gundam breaker style customization where you can build you own mech.
- controls based off of gundam vs games and A.C.E games plus a mix in of my own.
- Ability to import your own parts for each Mech. (stats aren't modifiable there will be a system to determine them.)
- Mecha Lab - build your mechs here. mechs are built using a part templates aka your model and selecting a metal type to build it out of. metal type determines stats of your mech.
- weapon stealing.

gameplay Modes:
Arcade
VS mode
Online Mode - will be very strict on having the same stuff. further detail will be given later.
Mecha Lab - make your mechs here.

Controls in Detail:
Buttons - ranged attack,melee attack,target,boost/jump, boost up, boost down, guard, special,basic directional buttons, weapon1/ranged drop/switch/pickup, weapon2/melee drop/switch/pickup, Use pack, shield drop/switch/pickup.
Special + Ranged - special attack 1(ranged special)
Special + Melee - special attack 2 (melee special)
Special + Target - Precision Mode increase attack by x1.5 but decrease speed.
Special + Boost - Overboost Mode increase speed by x2 but reduce attack accuracy and strength.
Guard + Ranged - if shield is available, shield throw
Guard + Melee - if shield is available, shield bash
Guard before getting hit - Counterattack, if possible
Guard + Special - Berserk Mode(temp name) X Mode increases all stats by x2 but when Berserk mode is over mech overheats and stats drop to times .5 of normal stats for short amount of time.
hold target - remove lockon

Customization details:
you will be only able to create your own parts and maps that all.  rest will be not editable. custom music i will be seeing about.

extra details:
xbox 360 control will be best way to play. keyboard will suck to use.




Extra Details:
I might be changing the name of the game to something else. Considering X-Frames or MechinaX.
there might also be a lite and full version. lite being a free version with only 1 skeleton type and some other limitations.



All features and stuff are subject to change if issues arise.

just so you know it all sounds good on paper but people will get mad exited once you release actual picture, the more finished and appealing the game will look the better...

How about speed gameplay ? as fast as gundam vs ? 60 fps gameplay ?

fps depends on unity(game engine i am building it on), i can add a speed multiplier in settings to speed up movement to be insane but the default speed should be around gundam vs.

zero gravity maps will use ACE gameplay movement to navigate. as for ground maps with gravity, it will be a option to remove gravity and play like ACE games or play like gundam vs games with the gravity.


edit:
the action Guard + Special will be called X-Mode. why? x in math is a variable that can be anything so replace that x with whatever super special mode name you want it to be.

kinda, anything thats effect base and doesn't change model. so trans am effect, god gundams golden glow will be possible if i don't run into issues.

thinking about removing precision mode and replacing it with support mode, where fighters/planes/spaceships come in and assist you.

project will be released on own web page. development updates and stuff is possibly going to move there. currently facebook will be where i post the stuff for the game. will be a page for it later.

Target Platforms: 
Windows, Linux,  Mac and Android(Possibly).
Android would need tweaking or require controller to work.
as for IOS not happening.

ok, i have an idea how i want the story mode to go. story mode will be open world. story mode is the story of you and your newly form group trying to conquer the world or region. during battle you will be able to convince enemy soldiers to come to your side or destroy them. if soldiers survive they might try to get revenge or not, it all depends on soldier traits that are created randomly. got the idea from shadow of mordor but i want to improve the concept to be better suited for this game. once your group is big enough you can setup bases in claimed areas.

the open world will be separated into different areas like dragon age games are.
