Downside of purge

Well, I just noticed the effect of the purge firsthand from my brothers and friends:


1. Kira1225 just checked this website(only to be told his acc was closed).
I don't think he's coming back from this. :/

2.My sister Shirayuki found her acc also closed. Therefore, she gave up as well.

3. If my brother DIDN'T posted that Blast Impulse thread, his account would probably ended closed
as well. :/


Just keep this up and there won't be any new people brave enough to post. *_*

said this before to manga, about this might happening. he just wants people to post and get winz00e very active. in my view he is desperate and begging for help to raise activity of winz. can't blame him though. if you can get more members in that raises winz activity considerably he might consider removing this policy.

that can easily be disabled for all users. i say a vote.

yamato is the only one who does it and you used too. max does it too but not as much as yamato. those are the ones who only do name changing. manga and kira do it kind of but there admins so they don't have to worry about this.

i guess asking the admins to change our names would be better then what it is now

one problem hikari would be the one your asking, cause the others especially romer won't do it.  Manga i am unsure with.

well, there is really no point in doing this yet. i say plan this when forum activity starts get on a rise. we basically know who changes there names alot. there hasn't been really any new member that posted much in the other sections

BUT,i have to SAY,pm admins just to change your name is kinda troublesome and it may bother admins,but if you guys don't mind about that,i would agree with you

So its settled then? a policy of name change should be in place then incase of something goes wrong correct?

going back on topic, that PURGE policy is here to help out winz, of course it's going to destroy a lot of it's members, but if we get active members in return, i see no downside. sacrifice must be made, thats why it's called a purge.

on a seconde note, i would condider extending the purge's check frequency to something like each month or each 6 month, but we're not active enough for that...too few active members. the purge is necessary atm, we can think about usernames when our forum is actually one.
