Possibility of Gundam 00 in Reality

If anything that is in Gundam close to reality, I would say that Gundam 00 has the closest possibility.

Just take a look at the year they start. Year 2302. That would be 289 years from now.

Even our technological advances are proceeding in that direction. I can't help but link reality and Gundam up when I see these.

1) Cryogenic Sleep.

Aeolia went in the famous Cryogenic sleep after he has set-up all the stuff that he wanted. Currently, cryogenic sleep is possible. Check them out here:

Although the technology of reviving people successfully from the sleep is still undergoing, but what the heck. There is still 289 years.

2) The discovery of the Higgs-Boson Particle (dubbed God particle)

There are many references to God in Gundam 00, although most of these are linked muslim religion and Allah (Their one god). This reference to God linked me to the Higgs-Boson Particle. With its discovery as well, the theory of Muons, Tau, Quarks, Leptons, etc etc in the standard model becomes real. I mean come one, don't you guys feel that this would eventually lead to what is known as the GN Particle?

According to the official specifications on the Gundam Wikipedia website (http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/GN_Particles), quoted from there "Particles are decayed baryons like muons, boson w. particles, and photons. It is responsive to an unspecified machine-producible interactive force". The GN Particle is basically an application of this profound Higgs-Boson Particle and its standard model equation to technology.

Although right now I'm still extremely impressed with the people who theorised about the Higgs-Boson Particle in 1964 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higgs_boson), I'm more interested in how technology would develop to adapt the use of this particle. [Actually I'm more of jealous that I ain't that smart =( ]

3) Plasma Thrusters

Every realised why the thrusters of most gundams in Gundam 00, SEED, Wing, Z, etc etc all have blue thrusters? Its probably due to something called the Plasma Propulsion Engine. I have been fascinated with this for a long time. Right now they are being developed and in a few more decades, we might just be able to apply them on vehicles especially air and spacecrafts.

The characteristic of these plasma thrusters are such that particles gets emitted. These particles are cold, solid, and generally either reflect blue light or emit blue light (since they are supercooled to the point their property changes. Getting ready for space tourism is Virgina Galactic (We can also assume that in the creation of orbital elevators, they would be involved). This is totally irrelevant, but the point to note is that once the plasma thrusters are ready for use, their spacecrafts can be used to test these engines.

4) Quantum Computing

Veda, Veda, Veda. Who watches Gundam 00 without knowing what the heck it is? Veda is like the giant brain in Gundam 00 that utilises Quantum Mechanics for super computer stuff that most of us actually don't really understand. But enough of all that, read this article and you'll understand.

It has been undergoing and developing for quite sometime now, so it has the highest chance of being completed before the other technology mentioned here in this thread. So our dear Aeolia is able to finish the construction of Veda before he goes for his sleep. Aeolia is most probably not born until another 38 years. Tough luck. Don't name any of your child Aeolia either thou, or you know for sure he would get bald when old. Well, unless your surname is Aeolia Schenberg, which is impossible for almost all of our current members.

5) Flags

The famous Flags used by the Union in Gundam 00 are unique crafts. They are the basic models to be used for the GN-X etc.
Due to their recent developments somewhere in year 2200++ (There is no way they would not improve on something that is exciting and beneficial for the military), it is understandable why they reduced many of the traditional gundam features (Eg. Bulky armour) just to ensure that the craft would be light, easily transformable, and lower-costing. Although we can't really see the shape of the flags now, but I have faith that they would be developed in a century.

There are already radical craft designs out there. Now although there are many designs out there, these are not just some random design. As a Physics student, I can actually see the mechanics of how the crafts would be able to fly. Well, I'm still a Gundam SEED fan more than a Gundam 00 fan. However, to me Gundam is just amazing. I'm fine with any Gundam so long as they come into reality.

And please PLEASE, don't go around telling people these stuff, claiming that they are your own ideas and thinking (unless you had it before reading this thread). This should serve as an enlightenment and link to our surroundings for educational purposes.

I'm already closing both eyes to people stealing mods (mine and others alike), so at the very least, don't steal our ideas away. I can't exactly ban you for doing so but to me, my ideas are the essence of my life. If you steal them you are basically killing me off. And I do not like that (I'm a rather vengeful and unforgiving person). ;D

gundam will make it into our world, just maybe not exactly like the ones in our anime...cause let's be honest, the 2 legs and arms and head is just ridiculous, no humanoid giant machine is worth the production, that good for epic animes, but in reality we'll see more of this drones and flying jets...

Tbh, i agree that the production cost is extremely high. I'm just pointing things out from my child's side point of view. At least mobile armours would be plausible. But I can see an application for Gundams. Not for use in military, but for use in Space colonisation (Eg, moving giant blocks and stuff into place where standard machines can't). That is one of the ray of light I see for it to happen.

well there was a new movie that just came out recently called Pacific Rim, and basically its giant robots that can be controlled by two people which is really cool, havent seen yet but i will soon, i guess how it works is like how the eva unit 12 worked, piloted by two people and they both have to be in sync with one another

no he also has a point. Face it, the Earth is in a dire mess now. There should be Orbital elevators to space colonies to be made now. If humankind keeps on overpopulating the world theres a chance that this planet as a whole may not live long at all.
