AMD = crap, should kill yourself for getting one or thinking about getting. intel has better performance than amd.

and why copy your bothers rig. you could go cheaper and still achieve good specs.

because I want to be able to run open world games like skyrim, I seen the gameplay on his rig and it ran amazing, no lag whatsoever, besides my desktop will be mainly used for gaming

well.....intel has better performance but the price is higher though. you can still go amd if you want to save money but if you can get an i7 then you would be getting a better processor over all.
